The job application can be found on the company’s main employment site. Use the links/buttons provided on this page to go directly to the company’s careers page. Once you’re on the careers page you will be able to search the list of current openings, create a job portal account, and submit applications for positions that you are interested in. The guide posted below provides a general overview of the company’s online application process.
- About the Hiring Organization: Pennsylvania Station is the largest intercity railway station in New York City. The station serves over 60,000 passengers per day. The station was built in 1910 and is the busiest transportation hub in the Western Hemisphere.

Step 1 – Because the station has many different organizations operating within it, the first step of the job search process depends on which organization you want to work for. In this guide we will use the MTA as an example. Go to the MTA employment site (here).
Step 2 – Select which subdivision you want to submit an application to (this guide uses the Long Island Rail Road an example).
Step 3 – Click the “Job Postings” link.
Step 4 – Press the “Search Jobs Now” button.
Step 5 – The list of current job openings can be filtered via the list of options on the left side of the page (business unit, location, department, job family, job posted in). After you’ve narrowed the results, click the title/link of the role that you want to apply for.
Step 6 – Review the job description and then press the button that’s outlined in red in the below screenshot.
Step 7 – Click the “Register Now” button to go to the registration page/form.
Step 8 – Register – Submit the following details into the registration form:
- Username
- Password
- First name
- Last name
- Email type
- Email address
- Phone type
- Phone number
- Preferred contact method
- AND
- Submit the required details for the remaining subsections
Step 9 – After you’ve created your account you can begin the application process.
