Fill out the McDonald’s job application online via the website (detailed guide posted below), or simply print it out (using the .PDF download link on this page). When applying online, you will be able to view/apply for multiple job openings in more than one location. The McDonald’s careers site also details all of the different positions (both in-store/corporate).

Apply Online

Step 1 – Go to this website (USA). Allow the site to access your location information, or click “Locate Me” button near the top of the page to find the closest location in your area.

Note: Canadians must go to this site.

Step 2 – Scroll down the page and then click “Restaurant Jobs” or “Corporate Jobs.”

Step 3 – Find a location in your area by clicking the “Search Jobs” button, or enter your ZIP code into the “Search Our Locations” input field and then select a location.

Step 4 – After the results have loaded, click the “View Openings” link.

Step 5 – Click the “Apply Now” button to load the application form for that position (the application will load in a separate window).

Step 6 – Review the job description and then hit the “Get Started” button.

Step 7 – Identification – Enter the following details:

• First name
• Last name
• Last four digits of SSN, or create a four-digit PIN
• Birth month/day

Step 8 – After filling out the identification section you will be taken to the 19 step application form. Fill in each section of the application with the required details.

Note: Click the “Next” button after filling out the required information to load the next section of the form.

Step 9 – Complete the following sections:

Step 10 – After completing the application you will be able to submit if for processing.

How to Write

Step 1 – Download the form in Adobe PDF.

Step 2 – Applicant’s Information – Enter the following:

• First name
• Middle Initial
• Last name
• Social Security Number
• Street address
• Apartment or Suite number
• City
• State
• Zip Code
• Telephone number

Step 3 – Required Questions – As follows:

• How long at the listed address?
• Previous address
• How long at the previous address
• AND
• Position in which the applicant is applying
• Location of restaurant the applicant would prefer to work in
• Date of availability
• Referred by
• Does the applicant have transportation to get to work (check yes or no)
• Does the applicant have legal authorization to work in the U.S.? (check yes or no)
• Is the applicant willing to relocate? (check yes or no) – If so, enter the geographic preference?
• Willing to travel? (check yes or no)
• Does the applicant have any relatives working with the company currently? If so, enter the family member’s name
• Has the applicant been employed by the company before? (check yes or no) – If so, enter when and the location
• What was the position held (check the applicable box, if any)

Step 4 – Education History- In the fields provided, enter the following:

• School name, City and State
• Graduate? (yes/no)
• Degrees/Courses
• GPA

Step 5 – Employment Background – List the three most recent job experiences with the following information:

• Company name
• Address
• Job title
• Supervisor’s name
• Phone number
• Start Date
• End Date
• Starting Salary/Wage
• Ending Salary/Wage
• Bonuses and incentives
• Reason for leaving

Step 6 – U.S. Military – Provide the following (if any) – If there is no military experience, leave this section blank:

• Branch of Service
• Date entered
• Date of discharge
• Highest Rank
• Service related skills? (check yes or no)
• If so, provide a description in the line provided
• AND
• During the past 5 years, have you ever been convicted of, pled guilty to or pled no contest to, a crime, excluding misdemeanors and traffic violations? (Check yes or no)
• If yes is the answer- provide a full description of the circumstances

Step 7 – Signature –

• Carefully read the entire section
• If in agreement the applicant must provide their signature
• Date the signature in mm/dd/yyyy format
• If the applicant is under the age of 18 years, provide a parent or guardian’s signature
• Date the parent or guardian’s signature in mm/dd/yyyy format
