Use the guide posted on this page to learn how to access the Virginia ABC job application via the State’s employment site. Examples of some of the positions that can be applied for include store manager, program coordinator, IT auditor, and numerous other jobs (both retail and corporate positions). Follow the steps posted below for more information regarding the organization’s online job search/hiring processes.
- About the Organization: The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is the organization that oversees the sale of alcoholic beverages for the State of Virginia. The organization operates more than 350 stores across the state. The ABC is one of the State’s 11 public safety agencies.

Step 1 – Click here to have the ABC employment page open in a new browser tab/window.
Step 2 – Scroll down the page and click the “Online Employment System” link as outlined in red below.
Step 3 – Full-time and part-time positions will be listed in separate sections. Click the link of the position that you want to submit an application for.
Step 4 – Review the position details/summary section and then click the button as shown in the below screenshot.
Step 5 – Press the “Sign Up” link (underneath the login form) to go to the registration page.
Step 6 – Create Account – In the “Create Account” form fill in the following details:
- First name
- Last name
- User ID
- Phone number
- Primary email address
- Confirm email address
- Create password
- Confirm password
Step 7 – Press the “Submit” button to create your account. After your account has been registered you will be able to start filling out the online application form.
Step 8 – Provide any/all required information for each section or subsection of the online application form. After all of the required details have been entered you will be able to submit the application.
